Yep, I change my opinion to undecided. I'd still go with something early archaic but it doesn't look Cody to me anymore.

What are the pieces in the background of the newer pictures?

I would call it an exhausted Castroville which is reasonable for the area of Texas you're in. Also, resharpening explains the thicker base.
