Maybe scottsbluff

i found this point 13 or 14 years ago on a terrace above the upper colorado river in west texas. because of the base i've always thought it might be a scotty or reworked one. it's thicker at the base and thins down toward the missing tip. really nicely made with patina on one side. never found anything with this type base and small shoulders. any pros got any ideas?
thanks
mark

I'm no pro and not familiar with Tx. points but with the shoulders and the convex base I would say its not a Scotty. Someone more familiar with Tx will chime in here.

I would think Cody all the way except for the drooping shoulders? Is that mostly shadows? The cross section looks good.

It sure looks like it. Two pictures that might help with the ID would be a side profile showing the base cross section, and a sun-lit angle across the face to show the flaking.
Seems out of the usual areas they are found, but is not an upper Co material either which means it came in from somewhere else.

I hunted near Fife one year. It was a great spot for birds of all type. Not many deer. I did find a big biface blade made of light brown flint. I would love to go back to that ranch. I didn't know how to look back then.

The silouette looks Cody, the flaking doesn't . That one is a head scratcher.

I have serious doubts about it being Cody now after seeing these pics.
