Help identify these artifacts please!

we were artifact hunting in a North Alabama creek & i came across this object. Can anyone help me identify it? Thanks! Pictures from all angles hope that helps!

Please post items like this in the What In The World forum only. If you need something ID'ed this is the place to put it. Don't put it in multiple forums.

Also, that is just a natural creek worn rock. Not an artifact. I see no evidence whatsoever of it ever being altered by man.

i have seen rocks like that before , usually below a water fall , a smaller rock trapped somehow on top wore that hole , if i ever get the energy to go to this one spot again i will take pictures of giant holes some with the round rocks still in them along with many bones of animals that got caught or fell in, some are so big a man wouldnt be able to get out if he fell in, interesting rock good conversation piece, thanks for showing it

Steve- this is only my 2nd day on this site.i still am not used to it, sorry. i wasnt aware i posted it twice. And also i didnt realize there was a certain thread to post in.

Just realized i shouldve posted a picture looking down on the rock, it is very smooth in the groove, the groove is approx 1 1/2 in wide, the rest of the rock is very porous. strange to me. all opinions appreciated

its on my list , since i joined this site i have had to make a list of all the things i have to show , its cool to have a bunch of people interested in all the things i am ,its like finding a bunch of lost siblings, i will get those pics
