Crystal Graver ?

Going threw my check it later bucket I washed this piece of worked Quartz and maybe this was going to be a graver or perforator ? I think it has micro edge work and a little grinding on the base it fits nicely between my thumb and forefinger. Found in the same hole with the soap stone piece from yesterday .

It sure looks like it would serve for that purpose.

Precurser to todays chisle tip broad heads. It looks like they intentionally incorporated the faceted crystal into a point. That is too cool.

Wonder if that is what they were using to mark that soap stone piece you found. How close together were they?

Brilliant invention by a very clever Indian. Almost looks a little bit shouldered as well. Would be very hard to dull the tip on that one.

The same hole . I dug for hours to try and find the rest of the soap stone piece. I showed Jack the crystal graver and he shook his head and suggested I hit the pipe to hard

Sure looks like it could have been used as a graver/awl type tool. Cool looking piece Dennis.
