Clovis?

Okay, I might be hanging myself, but the reddish fluted point sure looks Clovish to me. It is hard to tell from the photos, but to me it looks like a Clovis point that has been re-based in a odd way. The flutes look like later additions, and the second photo sure looks like a very long flute has been covered up with several smaller, possibly newer attemps.

Those are some nice artifacts. Paleo/Archaic points and a nice sinker to boot!

Central Texas Identification Help

Thank you all for looking at the artifacts. This is the greatest site. Steve, The side has not been worked, it is sharp and rough all the way down on both sides. It has a definite flute not more than halfway up on one side. The other side is a mystery. It has two fairly deep slices separated, one at the bottom and one above the middle not reaching the top. I am curious about what it is. Thanks for the link. My daughter is moving to Knoxville next Friday, trying to get things done so I haven't even checked it out yet but looking forward to it.
Silverback, I'm sorry the pics weren't better, not much of a photographer but I'll work on it.
Dollarcreek, I already do know who Kirby Hyden is, His son married my Grandparents lifelong neighbor's daughter and distant kenfolk, but I didn't know he liked this kind of stuff, but it seems like I might have heard something about it but it would have been a long time ago. I will have to try to give him a call.
I appreciate everyone's comments,
Jill

Jill, I saw Kirby today and told him I'd recommended him to someone in Grosbeck. He said no one had called, but would be waiting.

Hum, yeah, I thought this was the place to go if you met the above critera. You know, I tried taking it with me to the beauty salon, the nail place, the grocery store and daycare, but they just didn't seem to have a clue . . .
