The one on the left is very close but the vertebral body isn't really round enough and the transverse processes tip too far forward to make me think it's human. The one on the right definitely is not.

Wish we had a Bone Dr. in the house.Dr Dave you might become the chief resident as you probably had plenty of Kinesiology ect.. I have a pile of bones and teeth(canine) that I believe are marine mammals. Would love to know also.

Anyone know of a good site to ID bones of mammals?

Sorry, my bone knowledge stops with humans. When in chiropractic college we used to take apart spine models and reassemble them blindfolded, in order, for fun. I'm your guy on the human stuff but you might need a Vet or archaeologist of some sort for those.

Kinesiology(biomechanics) was 3 of 320 credit hours in graduate school. It would be equivelant to a class called "which is stone and which isn't" in your business. That stuff doesn't begin to scratch the surface of what they put us through. They make you learn more crap than you could possibly ever need to know.
