I can't tell much from the last pic, but the first piece looks to be a geofact. The holes appear to be natural. Raymond

Just weird looking rocks.

These are Plummets and they may have possibly been used as Bolo Stones, though I think they were Charmstones or Fetish Pieces.

We find them on sites ranging from early Archaic to Ft Ancient so they were evidently used for thousands of years. Some people say they mat have been Net Sinker Weights, but I can't see why they would go to all the trouble of making these so well formed and then put them on a net when a rock would do the same thing. Plus, I have never found one along the river, always in a field away from the river.

yeh i saw something like them from alaska but im far away from there they are

Steve,,Well I see now why you think/wonder about ornamantations,,,I have heard the same thing about the Waco sinker being used to wiegh down nets////good point about location. Why NOT plummets,,,The native Americans DID build??
