Thanks George,,,I walked away from those with some good intuitive knowledge,,
Pecking stones could have been used as small Hammerstones,,,Hammerstones can also be used as the abraiding Stone,,,,/c

yes comanche,,small hammerstones can be used for abraiders,,Marty calls this scrunching,,lol, but it keeps a freash place on the hammer when being used. pecking stones are harder and ment to cut and remove material,,like for making a grooved axe. Marty is a great feller and even tho he don't sound the part I'm glad to say he is a Ark hillbilly now.lol,,I believe he could flute a brick. did you see the Clovis after he finished it ??

Oh yea Super sweet I like how he incorporated Direct Precussion on the one face and Pressure touch on the other. The Hammerstone use to one flute,,then using the lever action on the other one////c

Yes,,thats called indirect percussion,, makes alot of sense,,,that way you just put the punch right where you need it on the platform,,and then hit the punch with a hammerstone or antler billet.Kinda duz away with the old saying,,looking where you hitting,,,or hitting where your looking..lol
