Alabama Head Hunter

Hi all. I'm from East Central Alabama. I live in the Lake Martin area in Elmore County. I've been hunting artifacts since the 1960's when I was a child. The shores of Lake Martin is where I do most of my winter hunting since the Alabama Power Company lowers the water level during these months. Plowed fields, cutovers and anywhere else bare dirt is exposed is the other places I hunt. It's mostly quartz, quartzite and novaculite artifacts in this area with an occasional chert piece surfacing. I'm anxious to see everyone's killer finds. Most of mine are not so killer and are usually broken. I'm also a member of some of the other online boards (PROS, Arrowheadforums, TexasCache) so some of you know me already. I look forward to seeing my old buds here as well as making new friends and learning more about our hobby.

Welcome aboard TDog! Do you do any crappie fishing at Lake Martin or Weiss lake? Lou

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I mostly bass fish at Lake Martin but occasionally crappie fish. Lake Jordan (another local lake) is where the crappie fishing is best. A friend and I caught our limit of spots on Martin last week...
