Welcome from kinda the middle of Texas. I like modern flint knapping as an art or even if someone made them to actually hunt with. I just don't like modern points being bought and sold as ancient artifacts. Most of us will like to see them but you may run into some that just don't like them period but post some pics anyway.

Hello, I'M a novice knapper. Not crazy about making the big spalls or preforms but enjoy the percussion and pressure flaking on thin rocks I find.

Cool, what's your name? Greg Nunn is a super knapper and great guy. That's great you get to learn from him. You knapping with those nice soft Utah hammerstones? I really like those. Are you signed up over on paleoplanet too? If not it's another good place to bs about knapping. Welcome. Marty Rueter

Kudos to you for your Ethics and Great to have you on the Board...My son is really into knapping and I have a strong interest as well. I am primarily interested in learning about knapping to further my understanding of historic and traditional lithics, how they were made and what the resultant ancient lithic scatter can tell me.
My appreciation of artifacts and my understanding of surface scatter have both deepened considerably by attempting to reconstruct points, cores, ect.

I am looking forward to seeing your work and gaining more insight from your experience
