New here from CT!

I have been slogging through muddy fields since the age of five. To tell you the truth there is no place I would rather be than out there kicking up a trail.
I enjoy the hunt but there is one thing in particular that really gets my adrenalin pumping. The anticipation during the seconds of recognition, the first glimmer of a flint flake, that brief moment as you give it a slight tug and it exposes it's self to you for the first time in thousands of years. That micro rush is what it is all about for me. The rush of the discovery! Been hunting Western CT since childhood and have a great collection. Some of the collection can be seen on Connecticut Arrowheads
Hope to see some old friends here and make some new ones along the way!

Welcome aboard from Fairfield, Ohio. I'm new to the site this year, and have loved it! Best forum on the net with great people and a lot of knowledge. I have made some good friends and learned a lot. The thrill of the hunt is also what keeps us (Team Hartman, me, my wife and my daughter) going. Look forward to seeing your finds.

I like your analogy of the anticipation and the rush of discovery,, sums it up quite well!
Welcome from mid-east Missouri,

Jason as a digger you probably know that small sound from thin flint in a screen too. LOL I have not dug in years but still remember well the earthy smells from New England soils and then filling that screen up and shaking it down until you hear that "tink", "tink" from a fine flint drifting about in the bottom of the screen.
