Hello from Alabama

Hey yall,
New member and I'm excited about the incredible schooling opportunities I have right at my fingertips. Live in east central Alabama with my wife who is as addicted to hunting as I am. Finishing up my last year in pharmacy school then maybe I'll have more time (and money) to feed my addiction. We got the bug while on our honeymoon at Lake Tahoe. We decided to take a day trip to the desert area north of Tahoe since we had never been to the desert. The wife is a space nerd and in search of meteorites when she found this beauty on a rocky hillside overlooking a lake. I already have a post about this artifact in "what in the world" so feel free to comment about it there.

After trying to find out what it was we had unknowingly caught the fever and away we went the next day... back to the desert. Upon luckily stumbling on a good site we found many scrapers and this jawdropper. I didn't know what to do but try to keep breathing.

I can't believe this was my first find and may never be able to top it. Anyway, sorry about the long intro, but I wanted to tell how I contracted artifact fever. Thanks to all who have already commented on my other posts so far and thanks in advance to all those who will comment. I feel lucky to be part of such a helpful community.

Welcome aboard from nearby Los Angeles... Where about in Alabama do you hail from??? I've got a great many relatives near Alexander City/Sylacauga..

Great finds near Lake Tahoe.. that is some gorgeous country around there.. plus great Flyfishing waters...

looking forward to seeing your finds....
