Another from CT Joins the Ranks

Greetings:

Kierran here from Connecticut. I've been "oohing and ahhing" over many of your finds for a while now and finally decided it was time to introduce myself and chime in once in a while. Good to see a few others from New England on here as well.

I've always been a diehard fisherman, but have been severely bitten by the surface hunting bug over the last few years, thanks to my uncle. Most of the open space is gone where I'm from, but I have found a few "crumbs" where I can. I'm blown away by the knowledge and collections here and I look forward to learning from all of you and hopefully sharing when I can.

Thanks for having me & good luck out there...

Welcome from downeast, how long does the Salmon Run last? Nice Browns. there were probably artifacts where you were fishing. I use to think I was a fisherman, but unfortunately I spent way too much time searching the banks for evidence. Mike

Thanks, all!

Mike: The salmon are all but done, yet the steelhead will run all winter. Trust me, I was looking there and catch myself looking more than fishing sometimes.

WELCOME!!! From the Mouth of The Columbia River on the other Coast..Your Blog is amazing and from the looks of it you know all about addicting hobbies. Artifact hunting certainly qualifies as a good one and one that fits neatly with Rods and Reels.
My Son is a little a little guy with a Big Fish problem that is fed my my Dad's own passion for waters...Here's a Video of him you might enjoy:

Thanks, Trask. Great video! It's awesome to see how "into it" your son is at such an early age. I assume you are using GoPro? Hopefully that's my next big purchase. The Flip has treated me well, but I'm looking for something better (and waterproof).

One of my Hunting Buddies has a "GoPro" so I've used it on a few of our outings..It'll be one of my next purchases as well...I actually ran his GOPRO camera over with my truck shooting one of the opening bits in my Great Basin Video Camera Survived but I bought him a new Case.
I Currently use a Cannon sx20 for pics and video and I pack it around in a Pelican Case..Seems everything in my life is in an Otter Box or Pelican Case or it dies a fast death
