Another Missouri Boy

Howdy all- my name is Dale Verts and I've been hangin' in the shadows here since last spring. Kudos to all of you that make this site COOL.

I've been interested in this game since the early 70's, but got way more involved in the last three years. Seems we wait too late in life to slow down and ENJOY. Anyway, my first passion is furbearer trapping, which most definitely goes hand-in-hand with artifact hunting. Except sometimes I forget which one I'm supposed to be doing...

My big issue is this- we have no internet at home. Not available, although the fiber-optic lines are just over the hill. So I get on here at work when I can. Of course, I can't post pictures yet, and this site is ALL about pics! Someday soon, I hope.

Last year was my best ever because I finally took this stuff serious for a change, including learning how to dig (STILL learning). At last count I found somewhere in the neighborhood of 450 pieces, parts and points/tools last season. This is not a brag- a lot of this stuff is really PIECES, but it was all fun.

So anyway, howdy again to all, I really enjoy this place.

Dale

Thanks guys- can't wait to be able to post pics. They won't be as cool as Jason's, but I'll try.

Found a complete Adena-Dickson in the creek while scouting for beaver & otter the other day. It's blue/quartz, and about 75% translucent.

Can't WAIT to post pics...

Dale
