Greetings From southeast iowa

Hello everyone im from southeast iowa i have been hunting almost full time this summer havent since i was little ten years of dirt track stock car racing it was time for a new and cheaper hobby lol always loved history friend of mine got me started hunting this year he has been for over 25 years and has an a mazing collection i have only worked 3 sites this year and had good luck at all them now getting the 5 year old into it she loves finding the pretty rocks lol good luck hunting and this is a great site!!!!

I used to take my little girl out rock hounding in jasper outcrops and opal mines back in the Mojave Desert near our home when we lived out there. By the time she was four she could identify chalcedony, obsidian, and basalt from my arrowhead collection. Of course to her they were "pretty rocks."
Here's a pic of the day she found what turned out to be a pretty nice mano. She had it in here hand when I took this picture.

i will love to show off some iowa finds but cant find my cord for the camera hope to find it tonight got a beautiful snyder point one i cant quite id and and a pipe a would love to show off as soon as i can find that cord lol the little one has got tan flint figured out grabs every piece she finds she about has more chips than i do now cant wait for her to find her first point or tool
