New guy in Southern Connecticut

Hey all, I'm new here and actually brand new to artifacts by accident, which I think is becoming an obsession rapidly.A current forum member recommended I come on in and register and from what I've seen and read....this will be a great education for me. I hope you guys and gals don't mind stupid questions because I know nothing about this as of right now!

Hey, welcome aboard!

I've been here a few months and still ask stupid questions! These folks are okay. Lots of good stuff and we are always looking forward to seeing new artifacts from different parts of the country. Fire away!

Thanks guys for the welcome, allow me to set the stage.....I have found a couple of small knives/scrapers and some flakes in the same place. This locale is a salt water beach and a friend of mine has hunted there and found arrowheads in the past. I have been back several time and damn it~!, I find something every time I go! This just keeps me going back, again and again.....but no arrowheads for me.....I must be "flake man" and it's killing me!.....as a matter of fact I got out of work this morning at 8am and headed for the beach, of course I found another flake.....while it was snowing on me, with a wind chill in the teens at best....and the guy walking his dog thought I was crazy....I think he's right...I need help...professional help!

Here's a stupid question.......if I'm finding flakes on a regular basis...shouldn't there be arrowheads there as well? Or....did the makers of these flakes just dump flakes knowing they would be aggravating me hundreds of years later?...maybe they had a sence of humor.

I think they should have left little signs or flags for me marking their location

Welcome,, glad to have a fellow "northerner" on this great site. Especially one that has more snow currently than southern Michigan, ha-ha. Just joined myself, really nice and knowledgeable people on this site.
