Put'n myself out there!

Hello to all. Pretty much a new kid on the block here presently. Have made a few posts. But so far have mostly been just getting to know the neighborhood, so to speak, a bit here lately. So far I very much like, no-make that love, what I see and read. Just want to check in here with a bit of an introduction and take care of that necessary bit of buisiness. Am from North Central Iowa, and have been surface hunting/collecting my own finds for 25 years plus. Have done-so in several different states of residency along my life's journey. There is still plenty to learn. From what I have been seeing and reading here as of late, there may well be no better place than right here in which to do just that. I'm currently in a bit of a challenging area, but am still able to salvage out enuff goodies to make it all worthwhile it seems. The "worthwhile" part comes in many forms, I believe. Hopefully I can add a few thoughts and pics along the way that are worthy of your attention. And I look forwards to all of yours as well.

Was a bit of a Nomad for a number of years. Lived/collected to at least some degree in N. Dakota, Nebraska, Idaho, and of course now here in Iowa. With some adventures up into neighboring Minnesota now as well...Oh!-And also Mohave, (by the way)-looking back on my reply post to you recently regarding your unfortunately broken green tool, I meant to convey a possible "reconstruction" prospect, rather than refurbishment. I think as a probable better choice of words now looking back. Such as in the kind Mr. Bushey does for folks. Sorry about that.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. The bonds associated with this fine addiction of ours, are like no other. The mix of all you fine folks and the differing states on this site is most alluring indeed... Shannon G.- thanks for the "nudge" email you sent me recently. It got me back on track-I am back...and therefore have just now posted some of my presence on the "Biggest One" thread. Hope you all enjoy, as I am most certain I will yours as well.
