Greetings from Dallas/Fort Worth

Greetings All!

My name is Nate and I registered/lurked for a while but decieeded to go ahead and out myself here.

I am pretty green to point collecting but have been fossil hunting most my life. The wife and I share a passion for all things rock-houndy - if its an excuse to play in the dirt, we do it! If you ever wanna see a manic couple move more dirt than you ever thought possible watch us on a dig!

Anyways we live here in Dallas/Fort Worth - Irving to be exact. We try and get out as much as possible to collect. We are raising a Australian Shepherd puppy right now to be our trail/dig dog.

Hope to meet some of yall in the field some time - if you see a silver FJ parked next to a bridge in DFW its probably us fossil hunting.

Typical Kitchen Sunday Afternoon:

This is the point that started it all. We were hunting NSR and my wife found this guy (Agate Basin?) That lit the fire for us.

Typically our NSR hunts are for things like this:

And this:

and this:

How do you know I am a hunting fool?

Because I have quick links on my browser to the the USGS River water levels for the hot rivers in Texas so that I can time a trip right after a storm!
