Welcome Jv1965!

Just wanted to take a moment and "introduce" you all to my brother Jimmy. He's just joined the forum under the name Jv1965. Go ahead and expect wisecracks and smart aleck remarks interspersed with his insightful commentary.

I've mentioned him and his excellent finds in many a thread, most recently the "my brother just found this" thread in the Recent Finds/In Situ forum.
I forever owe him a debt of gratitude for getting me into arrowhead hunting in the first place all those years ago. Most teenage big brothers would have been trying to get away from their annoying little brothers, but he always took me along. Welcome to Arrowheadology Jimmy!

Thanks for the welcome Headhunter, and Scotto. This is a really neat place for collectors, or those interested in getting started to come to exchange stories and information. It is true that I did get Kevin into artifact hunting, but the truth is, I was just picking up cool rocks, and he really took it seriously. He studied the native americans in our area and learned about what the different types of points were, and what the tools, etc were used for. He has taught me more about artifacts than I would have ever learned on my own, and honestly, when I have a quetsion about something artifact related, I turn to him rather than doing the research myself. Just call me lazy, or lucky to have him. I have gotten away from hunting artifacts over the years, along with hunting and fishing and other things that I enjoyed. But as my son gets older and starts to show great interest in these outdoor pursuits, it gives me a good excuse to get back into it myself. These things, hunting, baseball, arrowheads, kept me out of trouble growing up and taught me a lot about the world, both current and historical. I hope that they will do the same for Hunter as he grows up. I look forward to getting to know you guys, and to sharing our successes (and heartbreakers) together.
