New member from San Antonio!

Hey everyone, I've been a a lurker on these forums for a while now, but now I've decided to contribute more to the hobby! So I'm here just to say "Hey" to everyone and hopefully learn some more about collecting arrowheads.

I have been collecting points for a while now, but have never seriously gone out on a hunt. Most of my collection is made up of scattered surface finds I stumbled across here and there. As such, a lot of my pieces are broken. But the excitement of just finding a point is half the fun for me, regardless of condition!

Here is a shot of my little collection. I'm most proud of that big red point, (I think it's a broken Castroville) which I came across about a year ago. I personally found most of these points in and around Bexar County, but a few of them were purchased from a show. On the bottom are a couple of different artifacts. From what I can tell, there are 2 scrapers, a chopper, a trade shell, and a piece of beautiful Anasazi pottery. I found all but the pottery shard, which I got from a show a while back.

I also collect '80s arcade machines, old video games and consoles, Civil War relics, and coins. I just love collecting in general!

Thanks for the responses! Here are some close-up pics of the red/orange one and the triangle point.

Unfortunately, both are pretty severely damaged. The red one is missing quite a bit, and the triangle-point is only the tip of a larger arrowhead. The base is completely snapped off. But at least it has a pretty neat bullseye design near the bottom.

Both were found in the same creek about a year apart.
